Dinosaur Ridge

The Friends of Dinosaur Ridge was founded in 1989 with the purpose of preserving the fossils on Dinosaur Ridge near Morrison, Colorado and educating the public about the natural history of the area. Its mission was later expanded to include the fossil sites at Triceratops Trail in Golden, Colorado.

Rock Out for the Ridge

Proceeds go toward protecting the world famous track site.

Please remember you can buy these in person at Dinosaur Ridge at the Main office. There are only a total of 120 tickets available for this event, so make sure you grab yours now! This event will sell out.

Rock out for the Ridge is an annual Fundraiser and Silent Auction hosted by the Friends of Dinosaur Ridge on the first Friday in November. Festivities include a dinner, lecture, and silent auction. The event is held at Red Rocks Park in the Ship Rock Grill Restaurant at the Visitor Center. We are excited to have Dr. Spencer Lucas, Curator of Paleontology at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science at our event. He will be speaking on the bizarre world of Mesozoic crocodilians: denizens of swamps, deserts and other haunts.

Our Music will be provided by ERYA this year! They are amazing, please check them out at www.eryamusic.com.

We hope you will join us in making a difference to raise money for the track preservation project. This project will install metal banding at the track site to keep sandstone slabs containing tracks from sliding down the hill. This
specific project is estimated to cost $10,000. For more information on how to contribute to our Tracksite preservation efforts, check out our Adopt-a-Track program by visiting our webstie, www.dinoridge.org

A number of other projects are continuous along Dinosaur Ridge and Triceratops Trail. We rely on businesses and our partners in the community to keep Dinosaur Ridge going.
